Abstract

A stage play co-written with William Gillette, combining elements of several Holmes stories into an original plot. Holmes is drawn into the schemes of the criminal Larrabee gang, who hold captive a young woman, Alice Faulkner, possessing compromising letters, while Holmes’s old nemesis Professor Moriarty plots his destruction.
