Abstract
Eleven Sherlock Holmes stories from 1893-94, including the vanishing racehorse of ‘Silver Blaze’ and, in ‘The Final Problem,’ Holmes’s fatal confrontation with his arch-enemy Professor Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls. The collection was intended by Doyle to end the Holmes series permanently.
